PulpFest has started a series on Instagram called “Children of the Pulps.” We’re discussing the profound effect of the rough-paper magazines on the evolution of popular culture across the globe.
The creators of the pulps, as well as their fiction and art have reverberated through a wide variety of mediums. Pulps have influenced comic books, movies, paperbacks and genre fiction, television, men’s adventure magazines, radio drama, and even video, anime, and role-playing games.
Today, we feature a short historical review of continuing characters. Tomorrow . . . The Shadow knows!
You should too! Follow PulpFest on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/pulpfest/.
