Postcard Front RevisedA prepaid, three-day membership to PulpFest 2014 will cost $30. A three-day membership paid at the door will cost $35. Early-bird privileges for Thursday evening will cost an additional $30. However, to reward loyal attendees who help to defray the convention’s substantial costs by staying three nights at our host hotel, PulpFest is happy to offer free early-bird privileges, a savings of $30.

Please note that if you purchase the early-bird option, you also have to purchase a membership. So a prepaid, three-day, early-bird membership will cost $60. It will cost $65 at the door, available only on Thursday, August 7th, during early registration. The single-day admission fee for Thursday evening will be $30, double the normal one-day price.

An early-bird membership will get you into the dealers’ room from 6 PM to 10 PM on Thursday, August 7th, while our dealers are setting up for the convention. Only staff, dealers, and early-birds will be allowed into the dealers’ room during these hours to reward them for their terrific support. Please realize that due to travel conditions and other contingencies, PulpFest cannot guarantee that each and every registered dealer will be available during our early-bird hours.

Friday or Saturday, single-day memberships will cost $15. A Sunday only membership, available only at the door, will cost $5. Please be aware that many dealers will be packing up on Sunday. So buying and selling opportunities may be limited.

Children age 15 and younger, accompanied by an adult, will be admitted for free. However, they must be registered.

Supporting memberships for those who cannot attend PulpFest will cost $25. All paying members, including supporting members, will receive a complementary copy of our program book, The Pulpster, a $12 value.

Early registration will be held at the dealers’ room entrance in the Hyatt Regency Columbus on Thursday evening, August 7th, running from 5 PM to 9 PM and on Friday morning, August 8th, running from 9 AM to 10 AM. You’ll be able to pay for your registration at the door using cash, check, or credit card.

For Dealers

Postcard Back RevisedPulpFest 2014 will have over 100 six-foot tables in its 15,800 square-foot dealers’ room. Wall tables will cost $80 and island tables will be $70. Wall tables and placement within the dealers’ room will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. All dealers will also be required to purchase regular three-day memberships for themselves and for any helpers accompanying them to PulpFest.

For those dealers who will be staying at the Hyatt Regency Columbus, PulpFest is pleased to offer a third table free for every two tables that you rent, a tremendous savings. That’s buy two and get one free to thank you for helping to defray the convention’s substantial costs by staying at the host hotel.

There will be no height restrictions on any tables. Displays will be allowed on tables as long as they can stand safely. Please use common sense and courtesy to design your displays. All members registering as dealers must have material for sale at their tables. If you have any special needs–electrical outlets, a desire to be positioned near certain dealers, unique display requirements, and so on–please let us know when you register. All registered dealers will be listed on the Dealers page of the PulpFest website with a description of the materials they will be selling at the convention.

Although the focus of PulpFest 2014 will be pulp magazines and related materials, vintage paperbacks, digests, men’s adventure and true crime magazines, first edition hardcovers, series books, dime novels, original art, Big Little Books, B-movies and serials and related collectibles, old-time-radio shows, and Golden and Silver Age comic books can also be sold. Please remember that PulpFest is not a comic book convention. Sexually explicit material, including Playboy, Penthouse, and Oui, will not be allowed.

Dealer set-up will take place on Thursday, August 7th from 4 – 11 PM. Selling to early-bird shoppers will be allowed on August 7th, beginning at 6 PM and running until 10 PM. The dealers’ room will be open to dealers on Friday, August 8th, beginning at 9 AM. It will open to all PulpFest members beginning at 10 AM. All dealers are expected to be set up on Thursday evening by 11 PM and be open for business on Friday, August 8th, at 10 AM. If you are not able to comply, please discuss your needs with convention chairperson Jack Cullers by emailing him at or writing him at the address noted below.

PulpFest Group Dinner

PulpFest 2014 is organizing a group dinner. Eating together on Saturday evening was a long-standing tradition at Pulpcon, where fans of pulp fiction strolled a few blocks down the street from the Dayton Convention Center to the Spaghetti Warehouse, to break bread together while batting the bull about this great hobby of ours. The Saturday night group meal returns to this year’s pulp con when PulpFest will be dining together on August 9th, at the nearby Buca di Beppo Italian Restaurant, just a few minutes walk from the Hyatt Regency Columbus.

At a cost of $30 per person, you’ll find details about this wonderful time at the end of our member and dealer registration forms, following the PulpFest 2014 poll that is included with our forms this year.
